Affiliations

Each discipline, within its own structure.

Ittai Dojo maintains separate affiliations for Kyokushin and Kobudo. They are not simply logos: they help provide continuity of lineage, technical direction, progression, and connection with a broader martial community.

What it means for the student

Practice with context and continuity.

An affiliation places the dojo's practice within a tradition and technical structure that exist beyond a single class or instructor. In traditional disciplines, this provides references for technical development, progression, and connection with other practitioners and organization activities.

Each discipline still keeps its own identity. That is why we present Kyokushin and Kobudo affiliations separately and explain clearly what relationship Ittai Dojo maintains with each one.

Kyokushin Karate

World So-Kyokushin

The Kyokushin program at Ittai Dojo is linked to the World So-Kyokushin Organization and the Mexican structure of Karate Kyokushinkaikan Gessi Krame.

An important distinction

Affiliation and discipline are not the same thing.

Ittai Dojo has its own identity and way of teaching. For Kyokushin and Kobudo we maintain affiliations with organizations that provide continuity to their respective traditions, technical structures, and development processes.

Affiliation does not turn different disciplines into a single practice. Kyokushin and Matayoshi Kobudo keep their own methods, histories, and particular structures within Ittai Dojo.

Self-defense

Ittai Dojo's own methodology.

Our self-defense work is not presented as a branch of Kyokushin or Kobudo, and it does not use those affiliations as institutional backing.

It develops from martial experience, practice under pressure, and our own framework centered on awareness, positioning, adaptation, creating distance, and escape.
