Privacy notice
Ittai Dojo is responsible for processing the personal data it receives from students, prospects, and people who contact the dojo.

2. Personal data we may collect
Depending on your relationship with the Dojo, we may receive identification and contact data such as name, age or date of birth, phone number, email address, or social media username.
We may also receive information related to your practice, such as martial arts experience, rank or grade, and training goals.
Optionally, a student may share injuries or physical restrictions relevant to training more safely. This information may constitute sensitive personal data and is processed only when necessary for practice and with the data subject's consent.
3. How we receive data
The public Ittai Dojo website is static and does not require creating an account or logging in. Communication with prospects and students is mainly through WhatsApp, email, social media, and Zoom.
When using external services, those providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy notices.
4. Purposes of processing
Primary purposes include managing classes and students, maintaining direct communication, coordinating schedules, supporting safety during practice, managing payments when applicable, and complying with legal obligations.
As secondary purposes, the Dojo may send educational content, communicate dojo activities, or request authorization to use images, audio, or video for informational or promotional purposes. You may object to these secondary purposes at any time.
5. Providers and transfers
Data may be processed by technology providers necessary to deliver the service, including platforms such as Zoom and WhatsApp, or shared when a competent authority requires it under the law.
The Dojo seeks to limit access to information to what is necessary for the corresponding purpose.
6. Retention and security
Data is retained for as long as necessary for the relationship with the student or prospect, for the purposes described, and, when applicable, for periods required by legal obligations.
Reasonable measures are applied to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration.
7. ARCO rights
The data subject may request access to their personal data, rectification, cancellation, or object to its processing, as well as revoke consent when applicable without retroactive effect.
To exercise these rights, write to ittaidojo@gmail.com describing your request and providing the information needed to verify your identity and locate the corresponding data.
8. Images, audio, and video
A class or activity may be photographed or recorded for educational, technical, or promotional purposes. When applicable, authorization will be requested. You may ask not to appear in promotional materials.
9. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated to reflect changes in the Dojo's practices, services used, or applicable regulations. The current version will be available on this page.
10. Competent authority
In Mexico, protection of personal data held by private parties is governed by the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. Federal functions for personal data protection previously held by the INAI were assumed by the Secretariat of Anti-Corruption and Good Government.
11. Consent
By voluntarily providing your data to the Dojo, you acknowledge having access to this privacy notice. When processing requires express consent, it will be requested specifically.
