Each discipline should have a purpose, structure, and fundamentals the student can understand.
Ittai Dojo About Ittai Dojo
Ittai Dojo is a space for adults living in Mexico who want to build a serious, progressive, and sustainable martial arts practice over time.
The academy is designed for people with work responsibilities and demanding schedules. Some students start from zero; others return to martial arts after several years away.
Kyokushin karate is our main discipline today, along with self-defense programs. We are also incorporating Kobudo into our offering.
Training is structured and demanding, always respecting each person's level and pace. The goal is not perfection—it is steady progress.
Our foundation
Kyokushin provides a solid base of technique, discipline, conditioning, self-defense, and character. That experience remains central at Ittai Dojo.
The academy is not defined by a single discipline. We also develop self-defense courses and seminars and are opening a Kobudo program with formal affiliation.
Each area is added with the same criteria: clear fundamentals, understandable progression, consistent practice, and honesty about the level of instruction available.

Head instructor
3rd Dan Black Belt in Kyokushin Karate, with more than 25 years of experience in martial arts.
Training has been a constant for more than two decades—not only as physical practice, but as a way to develop discipline, judgment, and clarity.
Teaching at Ittai Dojo rests on practical experience, solid fundamentals, and progression the student can understand and sustain.
Meet our instructors →How we teach
Class is not based on memorizing movements. The instructor observes, corrects, and adapts the work so each student understands what they are doing and why.
Demanding work comes from paying attention, repeating with intention, and sustaining effort. We do not seek to create a culture of pain or prove who can endure more.
When something requires physical presence—such as exams from 6th kyu onward because of sparring requirements—we say so clearly. Trust is also built by being precise about the limits of the online format.
01
Each discipline should have a purpose, structure, and fundamentals the student can understand.
02
Real progress comes from repeatable, sustained practice—not isolated sessions of extreme intensity.

03
We are clear about what we teach today, what is opening soon, and what requirements belong to each discipline.
Affiliations
Kyokushin and Kobudo develop within different organizations. To keep that distinction clear, we gather institutional information and logos in a dedicated Affiliations section.
